Holy Crap, Earl Sweatshirt Is Back, You Guys.

February 08, 2012|Ernest Wilkins

Thebe Kgositsile, p.k.a Earl Sweatshirt is the one member of the LA rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (or just Odd Future..you know,if you're texting or something) that we haven't seen much of since the video "Earl" (Don't watch that at work) that helped propel the Odd Future clan to meteoric heights over the past year.

Welp, he joined Twitter today with a promise to release a new song when he hits 50k followers. We caught that message at 6:32. At the time, he had all of 17 followers (including Odd Future's manager Christian Clancy and crew crooner Frank Ocean). Some 20 minutes later? He's knocking on 10k. Welcome home, Earl.

NOTE: If this all turns out to be a fake, then disregard this. I'm terrified to even be typing this. I'm not a journalist, but I had a gut feeling. Seriously, in this super-thirsty race for pageviews, you do what you have to do sometimes. I'll never win a Pulitzer, I know. Free Mike Rich.
