Reigning "Nuestra Belleza Latina" queen Nastassja Bolivar… (Univision )
Univision Network's hit reality beauty competition, "Nuestra Belleza Latina" ("Our Latin Beauty"), kicks off its search for the new season's contestants with open auditions Wednesday in the Chicago area.
Reigning Season 5 queen Nastassja Bolivar, judges Osmel Sousa and Lupita Jones and the show's host, Giselle Blondet, will meet contestants starting at 8 a.m. Jan. 11 at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, 2001 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg. Grammy winner Lupillo Rivera will make a special appearance as a guest judge.
According to a press release, "'Nuestra Belleza Latina' is searching for the country's most charming, intelligent and enchanting Hispanic woman for the exceptional opportunity to star in one of Univision's upcoming network productions. Contestants will participate in a series of challenges in front of a live audience that will test their determination and character, a feat that will take much more than looks to win. Only 12 lucky women from around the country will be chosen to move onto the final rounds."
Participants must be females between 18 and 27 years of age on the day of audition, fluent in Spanish and, if chosen as a finalist, must be available to reside in Miami during the length of their participation in the program. Interested candidates also can submit audition videos directly to the "Nuestra Belleza Latina" site through Feb. 3, 2012. The top two finalists of the virtual casting will have the opportunity to participate in the call back rounds in Miami.
The "Nuestra Belleza Latina" queen wins an exclusive Univision Network contract and $250,000 in cash and prizes.
