We're lucky to have six talented players in the group. Because the band members are split between Traverse City, Michigan and Chicago, we really cherish our time spent together making music. The distance actually makes the live show more intense, exciting and special for us. Distance makes the heart grow fonder? In our case, the old adage is true.
Describe your sound in five words or less.
Tell us something random about the band, and why that's significant.
Our bassist currently lives in L.A. and tours with Enrique (Iglesias) and Shakira. This makes live shows logistically challenging. Dan plays violin with Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band and writes for movies. Also, one of our members collects hand carved african rhinos. No kidding.
Who would you want to work with, and who would you never work with? Why?
We'd love to work with Brian Eno. We tried to work with Chicago's Brian Deck. He scheduled us and then pulled out last minute, leaving us in the lurch. Not so cool. We wouldnt work with him now, sadly, although we hugely respect his output.
If the band was a breakfast cereal, what would it be and why?
Kashi. We eat reasonably healthy, but aren't savvy enough to make our own granola
