The UFC was in town Wednesday to hype up its Jan. 28 event at the United Center, and league president Dana White and his fighters came equipped with their best quotes.

Here are some of the best lines and moments from the news conference.

Chicago butt-kissing

"We never had an event like this here in the United Center and our focus was always on this great arena. I don't see us waiting another three years before coming back to this great city."--Dana White, UFC president

Best smack talk

"I guarantee you'll be the first to take a shot, because I'm gonna put my hands on you worse than that guy did to those other kids at Penn State."--Rashad Evans to Phil Davis, a Penn St. wrestling product

Weirdest moment

When a fan said he fights in the "plump" division of mixed-martial arts and asked when the UFC will introduce it.

Funniest quote

"I already ran for office and exited the only way an official should be, and that is in handcuffs."--Chael Sonnen, who pleaded guilty to money laundering in connection with mortgage fraud in January

Heartfelt explanation

Davis explained to the media and fans that the reason he wears pink shorts is for breast cancer research awareness. He said he has had a lot of people close to him that suffer from the disease and just wants the constant reminder about the research that needs to be done.

Real 'Idols'

"Most of these fighters thank Fox, but I say 'Fox, you're welcome.' You've been telling people for years you've had the American Idol and now you finally do."--Sonnen

Cute kid alert

Evan's son (Rashad Jr.) wearing a Bulls hat. Rashad, the dad, said his son could be the next Derrick Rose but does need to work on the height thing.
