Do the Bulls have the Dwight stuff?

What would it take to land Orlando center Howard? Who cares.

December 05, 2011|RedEye

Bulls fans, we've gone through this before with Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and perhaps dozens of other big-name NBA free agents that were on Chicago's wish list only to head elsewhere.

This time, it's different.

Why? Because the Bulls actually are one of the better teams in the NBA and have players that other teams wouldn't mind having.

That makes the rumor that the Bulls are one of the favorites to land Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard so tantalizing. How can the Bulls get him?

So, here's a ranking of the Bulls we'd give up for Howard. Two or three of these Bulls would likely go in exchange for him.

Carlos Boozer

See ya. And take your defense with you. Oh, wait …

Joakim Noah

Later, Gator. We love your toughness and your commitment to defense and rebounding, but we don't love your lack of offensive weaponry.

Luol Deng

Last season was your coming-out party. That took a while. Catch you on the flip side.

Omer Asik

"The Turkish Hammer" is a RedEye fave, and he's young and fairly cheap. Let's keep him.

Kyle Korver

Sorry, the modern-day John Paxson is not available. Thanks for calling, Orlando.
