In the real world, December means holidays. In the world of TV, you add a word to that: special. Here's a look at some of the season and series premieres this month, but more importantly, the specials. And most of those are holiday specials. And most, most importantly, the Dec. 25 premiere of the latest "Doctor Who" holiday special on BBC America: "The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe."
